Eggent documentation
Eggent is an AI employee with their own computer. This is everything it can do and how to use it — in the cloud, in Telegram and on your own server.
Eggent is a workspace for an AI agent. The agent has a computer of their own: files, a terminal, memory, a schedule, skills and connected services. You describe the job in plain language, the agent does the work there, and the result stays in files and in the chat.
There are two ways to use Eggent:
- Eggent Cloud — a ready workspace at
cloud.eggent.ai. Nothing to install, an AI model is already connected, and the trial lasts 7 days. - Your own server — the open core from GitHub, installed with one command. All data lives in
./dataon your machine.
Where to start
How these docs are organised
The docs are split into eight sections, from simple to advanced:
- Getting started — what Eggent is and how to begin.
- Working with the agent — chats, projects, the task board, files, voice and images: what you use every day.
- Setting up the agent — models, context, memory, skills and MCP: making the agent yours.
- Automation and integrations — schedules, Telegram and the HTTP API.
- Eggent Cloud — plans, syncing files with your computer, workspace sleep, sign-in and support.
- Mac app — the Eggent app for your own computer: installing it, connecting your cloud workspace and working on your own subscription.
- Self-hosting — installing, configuring and maintaining the open core.
- Reference — agent tools, the HTTP API, the folder layout and fixes for common problems.
For a specific question, start with the search box at the top (press /) or with common problems.
For agents and developers
Every page is also available as plain Markdown: add .md to the address without the trailing slash, for example /docs/chats.md. The list of all pages for language models is at /docs/llms.txt, and the whole documentation in one file at /docs/llms-full.txt. More on the For agents page.
The Russian version of every page has the same address under /r: /r/docs/.
